Checkin' in

Last week Ha had a check-in visit to get to know the new pediatrician team and also to get her last shot until she hits the big 2. Her doc here was super nice--and a major (as opposed to a just-graduated from med school trainee/resident captain). I am VERY happy this is not a training hospital like David Grant back at Travis. It's nice to give docs training opportunities, etc.--I just felt like we got a sort of raw deal over there and more often than not, learning experiences were ranked above what may have been in the patient's best interest. The hospital here is MUCH smaller than the one at Travis--for instance, you can expect to share a room with at least one other mom postpartum--and a bathroom w/three others--but everyone I've talked to has said it's so nice to actually be in the care of experienced doctors, that they don't think a thing of the small space/fewer frills.

Anyway, she did great at her visit and didn't even cry during her shot! What a big girl! Here are some pix of her brave day (not a lot of toys in the waiting room, so we had to play with stickers and the camera instead, lol).

Big 'n brave in the doc's office. Ha's stats are:
Height- 31.75"; Weight- 24.5 lbs.; Head circumference- 18.75"
She has moved from the 10th percentile in height & weight to between the 25th & 50th and is staying steady at the 75th for head size.
