She went through a brief 2-day phase where she refused to wear diapers, which we momentarily misinterpreted as a readiness to potty-train, lol. So we had her in trainers for a couple of days, and she earned may a Y100 store prize sitting on "the pot". But she seemed to have some reservations about such a speedy progression and it hasn't clicked yet that it's okay to go potty on the potty (and she understandably didn't like going in the trainers), so by the second day she ended up holding her bladder for extended periods of time, and then would go all over the floor as soon as we'd take her trainers off for a transition. I was getting really worried that she was going to give herself some sort of bladder infection or something from holding it too long, so thankfully now she is back to diapers. She enjoys watching other people go potty (although when she is offered the option, she puts down the toilet seat lid and tries to "lock" it!), so hopefully soon she will grasp the concept a bit more and will let us know when she is ready.
She's actually in disposables right now, which neither of us is loving, because she has finally outgrown the Little Beetle cloth diaps she's been using since she was about 10 months old (plus they were definitely starting to show a bit of wear!). She has a new order of diaps on the way. We are trying two new brands: Kissaluvs (we tried these before [one was included as part of a diaper sampler pack] and loved them)...they don't have a velour lining, so they will help her sense when she's going to the bathroom a little better than her current ones--those are for the day; and Bamboozles (totally new diaper! made from bamboo!!) for nighttime use--they sound a lot like her organic cotton velours, only softer (if possible!).
Anyway, back to Torii Beach!! Here, Ha heads off to "Play Park" (she calls all parks "Play Park", thanks to Dora, and chants "Play Park, here we come!" nonstop in the car when I tell her where we're going, lol!), toting her mesh bag of sand toys...
Ha is trainers-only at the beach, lol. She wet through her pants as soon as we got there and by the end of the day, she had her socks off too because she soaked them as well, lol! Thank goodness it's warm out! She loves to stand on the spider web structure and enjoy the ride as the older kids bounce it around!

Ever since her first trip here with Da, when he (unbeknownst to me!) let her climb up to the lifeguard lookout by herself (lifeguards aren't on duty until late April), she makes a beeline for a repeat adventure every time she sees it!
